In the heart of the medieval district of Nantes, discover the Château des ducs de Bretagne built at the end of the 15th century by François II and his daughter Anne de Bretagne.
Castle of the Dukes of Brittany - Nantes History Museum

The fortress houses a residential palace with refined facades and Renaissance loggias.
The history museum is spread over 32 rooms and displays more than 1,150 collectibles. The visit reveals remarkable architectural elements and looks back on significant events in the history of the castle and the city: the Atlantic slave trade and slavery, industrialization (LU, BN), the port, the world wars...

This castle-museum, unique in its kind, can be visited according to your wishes (guided tours, thematic tours, audio guide) and the time you have available. For families, visits and workshops are offered throughout the year, documents are also available for an independent visit.
