Presentation

A Zen space to take care of yourself. Take advantage of the saunas, hammam, massaging showers and relax on the deckchairs in the relaxation area of the Aquacentre de Pornic.
  • 2 SAUNAS: A Finnish custom for over 2000 years, the sauna is a social and family tradition in the land of icy lakes and blue forests. The sauna is practised regularly and provides its users with numerous benefits: it calms the nerves, helps to get rid of stress and eliminates muscular tension. As a relaxation factor, it evacuates fatigue and restores joy of living and energy thanks to its sedative action. The virtues of the sauna have been the subject of numerous studies demonstrating the beneficial action of this treatment on blood circulation and the skin. The sauna remains a place of serenity, where one remains attentive to the reactions of his body.
 
  • 1 HAMMAM: The hammam helps you to evacuate stress and promotes sleep. The heat contributes to the relaxation of the muscular tone. It activates the blood and lymphatic circulation. Practised after a muscular training, the hammam allows a fast recovery. The aim of the hammam is not to sweat but to relax and clean the skin. It cleanses the body by eliminating toxins and impurities. The pores open up under the effect of the heat. The skin is deeply cleansed and breathes better. It acts favourably on certain respiratory problems: asthma, bronchitis, allergies. Eucalyptus or pine essences with soothing and decongesting properties for the bronchi are often added to the steam. The hammam is therefore beneficial in case of a cold. Followed by a cool shower, the hammam session tones and firms the skin.
 
  • Relaxing showers, a relaxation room and an outdoor solarium
Please note:
The Espace Détente is reserved for people over 18 years old and young people from 16 years old under the responsibility of an adult. Not recommended for people with high blood pressure, heart problems, etc. On the other hand, the Espace Détente is accessible during the "relaxation area only" time slots, but also during all the other "pool" time slots open to the public.
