Presentation

Pornic's fishing port, known as the Vieux Port, is located upstream from Pornic's marinas. Nestling in the heart of the town, the Vieux Port is located in the ria of Pornic. It enjoys a privileged geographical location, protected from the open sea.
Did you know? The Old Port is subject to the tides! Boats can only enter at high tide. At low tide, the harbour is almost completely empty. Drop in at the nearby Tourist Office of Pornic to find out the tide times.

The Vieux Port de Pornic offers a full range of services for fishermen. Sailing boats are accepted for technical stopovers. Long-term parking is reserved for old rigs.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities:
  • sea trips aboard the Evasion 3 and the Corsaires de Retz
  • kayak with Florent from Kayak Nomade
  • paddle with Romain from Line Up
  • various water sports activities with the Club Nautique de Pornic

The quays of L'Herminier and Leray around the harbour have all the amenities you'll need: restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, local producers, shops and souvenir boutiques.

Not the seafaring type? Follow the quays: they will lead you to the customs path, the GR8, for a walk along the ocean.
History buffs will love the well-preserved architecture of the buildings and the vestiges of the seafaring past that adorn the port.

The Old Port of Pornic is a charming and authentic place, not to be missed.
