The traditional market at La Bernerie en Retz: a popular meeting place for epicureans and shopping enthusiasts.

Located in the town centre under Les Halles and Chaussée du Pays de Retz, the Bernerie-en-Retz food market takes place every Friday morning, all year round.

It's a great place to bring the whole family to admire the multitude of stalls selling fish and shellfish, meats, fruit and vegetables... but that's not all!

This huge market with its multicoloured stalls will awaken all your senses. The endless hawkers sell their miracle products. The many clothing vendors are sure to catch your eye, and for the gourmets, the smells are so appetising, how can you resist? Yum!

• In summer, from mid-June to mid-September, the market is held twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
• Live bands perform during the season, helping to liven up the shopping morning.
