Swimming, walking, water sports... you won't find a more complete beach.

An emblematic feature of the seaside resort of La Bernerie-en-Retz, the seawatepool is surrounded by a promenade dyke that is open to all all year round.
The promenade is accessible to all, and there are even benches where you can relax for a moment and enjoy the atmosphere and the 360° panorama. Sports enthusiasts can run here, while families can cycle. During high tides and storms, children (and older children too) have fun running around it as fast as they can. The game is to avoid the waves and spray.
There's always something to see, whether you're heading inland or out to sea. Watch swimmers, windsurfers, remote-controlled sailboats or catamarans, majestic woodcock flight or simply the dance of the waves.

The seawaterpool Maurice Giros is a 2.5-hectare stretch of sea with beach access. The water is changed regularly at high tide thanks to a lock, and the sand is raked every day in July and August.
Swimming is supervised in summer, and the European Blue Flag has been flying here for 20 years. You can swim here at any time of day, whatever the tide.
For parents, it's great to be able to relax while keeping an eye on the children playing in the water with the other children on the beach! Building the most beautiful castle, digging swimming pools, baking with sand... a child's life on holiday.
Do you want to learn to sail, become an experienced sailor or are you just curious to discover a new sport? Sign up for a catamaran, windsurf or optimist course at the sailing school. A team of fantastic, highly professional instructors is on hand to help you. For children and beginners, the activities take place on the pool, so there's no need to worry about safety.

The beach at the pool has an added bonus, not least that it is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Ask the SNSM for a lift. Bathing at the plan d'eau is for everyone!
